Health and Safety at Work is a vital point in the operations of PT Arutmin Indonesia. The main purpose for applying the Health and Safety at Work procedures is to avoid accidents that may possibly cause injuries or damages on the company's potential assets. In order to protect and prevent such accidents and damages during the mining and port operations, the management of Arutmin is committed to constantly improve the implemented Management System of Health and Safety at Work (SMK3).
All mining operations of PT Arutmin Indonesia are under good and proper management to mitigate the impacts on the environment. All activities are conducted by implementing the environmental management and supervision with reference to Analysis on Environmental Impacts and Environmental Management System (AMDAL) which accomodates the applicable regulations.
After 30 years of its operation, PT Arutmin Indonesia feels responsible for the state of welfare of the local communities around the business locations which cover three municipalities, namely Tanah Laut, Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru. Arutmin considers the well-developed local communities to help facilitate the company to reach one of its missions, namely to strengthen the partnership and cooperation with government, employees and local communities. Thus, since the inauguration, the community development program has been one of the company's priorities.
